Don't they support HSS out of the box? And 1/200s with the K-1?

I was thinking more about using a trigger connected to a leaf shutter lens type fast.

In case of leaf shutter you don't need HSS - it can sync with any regular flash up to 1/400s or even 1/800s, depending on lens. BTW: are there any K-mount lens with leaf shutter?

It explains where you've found mysterious "K-mount" leaf shutter lens Simple setup like PC to hot shoe cable coupled with Yongnuo trigger and flash should do the trick. Alternatively, you may want to try F5P cable with adapter and off-camera 540FGZ. I have tried both Yongnuo and 360/540FGZ, and the former is better in some scenarios - for instance when slave flash 'can't see' master one.

An Acon R930 controller will get you 1/8000s if you like by using HSS.

I was using a Cactus V6 - and it appears the flash is firing fine, but there is some other issue with the equipment as the focal plane does not appear to be syncronized with the leaf shutter. Disregard the EXIF info for the bottom row of images, they were all 1/500 - annotation error.

Any way, thanks for the responses fella's
