What happens with the Godox X1 trigger if you don't tape the pins?

Godox X1T C won't fire when controlled flash (Godox TT600) is set to other than 1/1. Even when Godox X1T C is set on single pin mode i.e. as manual strobist mode only.

Does anyone know the logic behind why this is?

An experienced Cactus V6II & previously V6 user advised me to reinstall firmware v 1.00.6 replacing firmware v 1.00.8 as v 1.00.6 has proven its stability in Cactus V6 II operating functions/features.

So I m going to reinstall firmware v 1.00.6 now.

I have read somewhere that power goes down as you increase shutter speed in normal HSS mode.
What does this mean? I thought shutter speed controls ambient exposure and aperture control flash exposure.

Or this is not the case with HSS?

That is only true up to the sync speed.

The shutter is si quick it's no longer seeing all light emitted by the flash.

The effect is that even though you're operating the flash at the same power, its Guide Number drops.

I find a speedlight has to be very close to a subject to be the key light rather than fill in direct sunlight.

Pentax is next for the X-TTL upgrade

I noticed on the Cactus X-TTL site's release timeline that Pentax is the very next brand to receive TTL support for the V6II. I asked Cactus whether the timeline reflects the actual release order and they confirmed that Pentax will be next!

Nice to see that we smaller communities also receive support and even receive it before the big two.

For those who have missed the news: There will be a free V6II firmware version that will be dedicated to Pentax to support P-TTL features like automatic metering and second-curtain sync. One is free to either use the standard multi-brand firmware version (currently offered) or one of the dedicated X-TTL ones.

I really have to sit and understand how this is works. I have been lazy in understanding it even though it has been explained.
