This is probably a stretch but did you ask if it was compatible with the 560TX trigger?
yes your right I only asked when it was to be released, but good question - something I have wondered too.

I have got a used AF-360FGZ at a very low price from eBay but I do not like the results.
It looks to me underexposed.
I get better results with a manual NEEWER TT560.
P-TTL should work with bounce flash?
This a new item (Yongnuo YN585EX P-TTL) so there will not be any user reviews?
TIA

That is seriously good value for the specs. BIt of a shame they don't seem to feature the radio receiver function though.

It seems like a good value for what you get. If you are interested in PTTL and don't want to risk money, it's worth a try. For me, it would be much better if it either had a built in receiver or supported off camera HSS.

The lack of a radio receiver function (and to a lesser extent radio transmitter) are a bit of a letdown... I already have a 560mkIII and a 560mkIV, and this one wouldn't work well with them.
So I guess I'll stay manual, at least for now.

Wont Mean I jot unless theres a trigger to go with it... Only then does it become a winner... Otherwise the Shanny offering is already out there on the streets....

I'm still on the fence. I'm interested in the YN560IV with the YN560TX trigger, to photograph people doing outdoor stuff (climbing, bouldering etc.) with off-camera flash, but it's full manual (which is mostly okay) and doesn't support HSS. Now there is this new one, but for some unfathomable reason Yongnuo has decided that it doesn't need a radio receiver ...

The Yongnuo flash is P-TTL but not HSS. So though P-TTL is nice I think their YN560IV with trigger TX560 though fully manual is a better system for us..

insomniac asked Yongnuo and said they claimed it does have HSS. Why that would be left out of the official description is a bit of a mystery though. So maybe they gave him false info.

Which one did you get exactly? The $99 one, like this one Flashpoint Zoom Li-on Manual R2 On-Camera Flash Speedlight FP-LF-SM-ZL-V2 , or one of the TTL ones for Canikon that are $179?

The $99 non-ttl version. It arrived last night. It's quite nice. But I'm new to flashes so my preliminary uses have been a crapshoot.
