I'm assuming you are referring to gear acquisition syndrome, not bad sushi...

This is pretty exciting. Has anyone managed to recreate this set up with the new 2.4 GHZ equipment? The triggers are different of course.
I got my K3ii, cactus v6ii, Nikon R2 2.4ghz trigger and Flashpoint StreakLight 360 to work in power sync mode by taping off all pins but the center on the R2. Works great all the way to 1/8000 with no black bars. On the cactus v6ii camera set to Pentax, flash set to Nikon or manual both worked fine for me.

That is excellent news. I guess there is not a manual (single pin) tx available in the Flashpoint R2 line? But if taping the pins off works, then we are all the better. Pentaxians are nothing if not resourceful.

There is a single pin mode on the R2 but the V6ii still reads it as a Nikon flash and it won't fire. So that's where the tape comes in.

If taping all but the center post is not easy you might try using a sync PC adapter like this. It works but it does create a tall stack 8-).

My Cactus V6ii is finally arriving today. I see that when you put a Godox AD360 in HSS mode that you have choices from full power down to 1/8 power. I also have a V850ii. When I put that in HSS mode, it does not limit the power level. Does anyone know what power levels are really available with the V850ii in HSS? Should be the same as the V850 in this thread. Thanks.

After following the instructions in this thread, I can't get HSS to work. Non-HSS works.

Are you trying to use HSS with just one V6II?

If so, what other trigger are you using and how?

As a quick guess: Try to load firmware V1.1.006 for the V6II. Definitely don't use a later version (until they fixed a bug).

Thanks, moving to 1.1.06 seems to have fixed the problem.

Is Genesis Reporter and Quadralite Reporter the same as Godox? Because they are not in the menu lamp and Godox is and look very similar.

Cactus V6 ii with Pentax K-5 and Godox V850 (FT-16 Trigger)

I used Cactus V6 ii with my K-5 and it works like a dream.

First, it gave me a scare when the camera took about a second or so to shoot after I press the shutter release (flash didn't fire either). However, when i set the flash mode to 'flash on', it stared firing the flashes at every shutter speed (initially the flash mode had been set to 'flash + red eye reduction').

However, when I mounted my Pentax-M 50mm F1.4 on the camera, the shutter speed was limited to 1/180 sec. The camera does not allow faster shutter speed with the manual lens.

Hope this helps someone.

I'm looking for info about cactus v6ii and really I'm completely confused?!?!?

Let start from beginning... I want to buy portable lamp about 300Ws and I will use it in hss mode (not power sync) wirless on k1/k5 that's mean I need cactus v6ii.
I have few questions:
1. can godox ad360 with radio controler FT-16 with cactus work in hss mode or only power sync???
2. can godox ad360ii-n with radio controler x1n with cactus work in hss mode???
3. do I need 1 or 2 cactus trigers???
