Finding in Pentax Optical Wireless and acon radio wireless

I use to believe, the pentax optical wirless should make no light from the controller. say, only the slave flash light would take effect on the photo.

But today I made a experiment. my goal is to figure out how accurate the firmware 517 PTTL should be. It seems be accurate as the firmwawre 3.6 and the same as using a PTTL wire. but I found something else too.

The controllder does lit the photo. even with setting not mix in the exposure.

It always contributes, because the light is still decaying from the preflash when the shutter opens for the real shot.

Not noticeable outside, definitely noticeable in a dark room.

You might flag off the direct path between the popup and the subject.

That's right, I aimed the pop up to the mirror and did catch the remain flash.

Some shaped aluminium foil or whatever would be useful if someone really wanted to avoid a hotspot in a shiny surface in the picture.
