Cactus V6ii Firmware Update 1.1.07 and 1.1.0.8 Problems-With HSS on Godox AD360

My normal procedure to achieve HSS sync with my K1 is to mount a Cactus V6ii in the camera hot shoe and mount a Godox X-16 in the hot shoe of the V6ii. Just up graded to the latest V6ii firmware V1.1.008. This resulted in the V6ii is no longer passing the HSS signal to Godox X-16. Prior to the update the HSS signal would pass through the V6ii to the X-16 and fire both my Godox AD360 and Elinchrom studio strobes up to 1/8000 of a second. As long as the sync speed is below !/200 of a second the signal is passed through to the X-16.

Contacted the Cactus folks and they are working on a solution. The work around until they resolve the problem is to reinstall firmware V1.1.06.

Thanks for posting this. I plan on buying either a Cactus V6ii or Acon R930 soon to be able to do HSS with my Godox equipment.

The Cactus folks have advised that the problem will be fixed with the next firmware update.

Can anyone else confirm that this firmware is causing them a problem? I just received a used V6ii, and it is on firmware 1.1.07. I cannot get HSS to work with either a Godox X1C trigger or an X32 trigger. Works fine until I pass 1/180 in my K-5sii. I guess I will check the Cactus site about downgrading firmware.

Use the Cactus software updater utility, connect your trigger with the right-most button pressed as you power it on, and then you can choose which firmware version you want to flash. It has current and the previous versions to choose from.

Thanks, I thought the choices on their site were firmware versions, now I realize they are versions of the updater utility! I used it, went back to 1.1.06, and it seems to be working!
