A Few HSS Examples

Not to hijack the thread but any input on what type of HSS flashes are people using on there Pentax cameras? Is there any third party HSS flashes available for pentax?

Thank you, yes it was a direct on flash with the AF540FGZII on the K-1. I did have a Gary Fong flash diffuser on the flash.

Ok, I've got the Lightspheres, the transparent ones with transparent cap on top.... Is that the one?

Yes that is the one I have. Mine came with a grey and amber cap but I have never used them. I have a simple strap on soft box that I use sometimes as well.

Here is an outdoor macro shot with the Sigma 180 Macro on the K-1. The Sigma 180 needs alot of lot and can be difficult to stop down without cranking up the ISO. Here I put my AF540FGZII flash on and sync it to HSS.
F11, 1/400s, ISO 320, flash was set to full power.

Very special colors, the purples and luminous greens are beautiful..... I'll try using my Fong Sphere on camera now and see how it goes, thanks.

Quick example with a Cactus V6 II and Godox Ving 850. Nothing special and no modifier. Just blasted at the person. I was just testing whether the HSS worked.
