Just wondering if anyone offered to help Cactus out?

I should add that I have one Cactus V6 II and two Cactus V6 I's. It's a pity the V6 II's do not support analog flashes. It's not obvious in the marketing the change between Mk I and II. The marketing is all about the HSS addition and its easy to miss analog flash support being dropped.

Yes, I agree.

In my view "V6 II" is an unfortunate moniker as it evokes an evolution of the "V6" whereas in reality the "V6" and "V6 II" are two complementary products with neither subsuming the other.

I was pleased and surprised to find that my original RF60 (with it's 'V6 inside') could actually receive HSS trigger signals from the VII. However the same does not apply to the actual V6 unit itself.

"Cactus help": I did too

HSS on old V6 - in my view over-evaluated. I have 2V6II, 2V6 and 2RF60 - makes 3 units that are HSS capable - but I never had a need for more than 2 HSS- devices. HSS always means lots of ambient light - most of the time 1 flash unit is best if you don't wand to destroy the ambient moode.
