It is helpful to note that complex things confuse people and products that are claimed to be idiotproof rarely are even Saavy User proof.
Sure, UV, but we probably shouldn't judge things we're confused about.

No worries, Wpresto, it wouldn't have been intentional from someone distinguished like you, of course.

Thank you very much for the link from youtube, in fact I got the information from that link.

Thanks a lot!

Why not just buy one of the excellent ring flashes for Pentax, like the Pentax P-TTL AF-160FC or the Sigma EM-140 DG P-TTL macro ringlight? (My dentist uses a Canon ring flash that looks a lot like the Pentax version).

Or any cabled manual ring flash - from Yongnuo or a multitude of others.
Hi rawr!
I have got the ring light from pentax. the problem is that to let the lab know the color and texture of the teeth to mimic them on porcelain the twin light flash is much better.

Thank you all for the helpful information. I am going to check all the options.

Would a continuous LED lighting solution be worth considering, rather than a flash?

Some of those, like Aputure's Amaran products, sell themselves as offering very good colour accuracy. The AL-H100 seems a compact example that you could run as a continuous light source and/or ring flash.
