Certain people speak of this brand rather disparagingly, one reason why I went with cactus.
There is a single scathing review on this site, though it is not clear whether it was for the model that caused the reviewer's problems. Other than that, the main criticism I have read about Yongnuo is that their system will not do what the Cactus system will do and that there may be clearance problems with some models when used on-camera with the Pentax K-3II (and K-3 to a lesser extent). Oh, and the manuals are reportedly not as good as Cactus.*

As far as generic radio-enabled speedlights at their price point, I think Yongnuo (as with Godox) is on the upper end of the curve, quality wise. As far as Pentax P-TTL compatibility, I have no idea, but I don't shop that price point if I'm looking dedicated flash.

(...likes what Cactus is offering, but can't justify the price for my uses...)

* From what I have seen, some Cactus manuals suck. Others are quite good. Ditto for Yongnuo.

I've lost my bearings with this thread .....is the OP still having any problems, or have things been sorted out?

He did indeed, perhaps I should start reading the manual before trying to solve problems I create.
