Hello,

Sorry if this has been posted before. It seems that there is a new version of the Godox S-type bracket, that fits not V1, AD200, AD400, 2xTT350... seems that every Godox speedlight or flash that ever existed.

More info here here
Thanks! I actually do need one more bracket, but I hope it's not still the ratchet-y adjustment the current one has.

It's not. The new one is stepless. Also folds up to be more compact. Details here:

GODOX PHOTO EQUIPMENT CO.,LTD S2 Speedlite Bracket

Not sure why they thought having it double as an AD400 Pro Bowens mount adapter was a good thing, but what the hey.

I guess the thought was that it would allow people to keep the proprietary mount on the AD400 Pro (obviating the need for the included Bowens adapter), making it quick to use the AD400 Pro with both mounts.

However, the AD400 Pro sits so far back in the S2 Speedlite Bracket that it wouldn't deliver optimal results in a number of modifiers.

I just got one yesterday. Impressive build. I haven't been able to give it a thorough work out yet, but zero complaints so far. TTL seems perfect. Manual mode adjustment in 0.1 stop increments, which I like. New locking collar is great. It will work in HSS with my 645Z up to 1/4000, which is extremely pleasing. It has a USB C charger, so the adapter is really kind of a cap on the end of the battery and very compact. So far, I am quite pleased with this unit. -BRK

Where did you buy it ?

I have not. I just don't ever need to use it that way and I feel like I'm still getting it dialed when using the X-Pro trigger.
You could always buy one and if it doesn't do what you need, return it.

Kirk has been working with the K1 for a while, among other cameras. Quite frankly he is camera agnostic! He chooses the tool that best suits the situation. If you search for Pentax K1 on his blog there are a lot of good insights.

Just received a v1. Initial impressions- A very light, portable flash with pretty good recycle times. Haven't used it at any shoots as of now, but will get to use it tomorrow!
