According to Amazon.com... They have it for pre-order @ $499.99. No estimate of availability, however...

My heart beat doubled when I saw it on the Pentax web site. I searched the Pentax store, B & H, DP review, and about 50 other sites and sources that generally cover new products. There is no mention of the price for the Af160FC or when it will hit the counter. I am also wondering when the new 55mm 1.4 will be available. (come on Pentax don't tease us with your web site)

From Ned Bunnell's, the President of Pentax Imaging, blog, "Price in the US has been set at $499, and we expect to start shipping in Mid-to-late November."

I'm just hoping the $500 is MSRP and fairly steeply discounted.

Hopefully that $500 is an MSRP and it can be had for less. It woudl be nice if it's out in time for Christmas.
