Is Sigma Ef 530 Super flash compatible with K-1?

The Sigma has auto motorized zoom head. Anyone know if the format is selectable between crop and FF? If not, can the head be manually zoomed?

Also wondering if Sigma can work with the Pentax AF540 flash in wireless P-ttl?
Thanks,
barondla

Not sure about the k-1, but as a model the 530 super appears to work as a wireless master as well as slave.

This sure isn't maintained but still has good info on older units: Feature Comparison - Pentax P-TTL Flash Comparison

Make sure to select discontinued models... Although I'm sure some of those not listed as discontinued are no longer sold.

The chart seems to indicate manual zoom might work since the footnote on the 530 ST stating auto zoom only isn't present.

I have a copy of the EF 530 DG Super manual and it indicates that the zoom function works the same as on my EF 610 DG Super. The camera coordinates auto-zoom and for APS-C will apply crop factor when used with auto-focus lenses. FF cameras set the actual focal length. Unlike the AF 540 FGZ, neither Sigma flash has provision to manually set format for APS-C, 35mm, 645, or 6x7.

Steve
So the flash selects between APS-c and FF and sets the correct zoom setting - cool. It doesn't allow setting FF vs crop manually - OK. Can the head be manually zoomed at all?

Thanks,
barondla
