I use my Pentax 360 flash on my GR ll. It is also used for my Pentax DSLR's...K10D, Km, K5, K1. I have a Canon G12 and use a Canon 430 flash.

I used to use my Vivitar 285 HV for my film cameras....Pentax SLR, Leica RF, Mamiya medium format, etc....but with the advent of digital cameras and my concerns about too much voltage in my 285 for my digital cameras to handle, I got dedicated flashes...Pentax 360 for Pentax/Ricoh and Canon 430 for Canon.

The newer flashes work great...same manufacturer make as camera make. I didn't want to experiment, whether an aftermarket flash would work, maybe not work, maybe not have all the functions...so went got 'company' flash's, which took the worry and guesswork out of the selection process..

They have limited dedication for Nikon and Canon (wake-up only, I think) with appropriate extra contacts, but work with any flash except Sony. The Nikon version is preferred because of less chance of interference from the contacts present on the Canon version. By pleasant coincidence, the wake-up dedication also works with Pentax flavor flash.

Sounds promising. So if I buy 3 units of the Nikon flavour I can fit one on my GR or KP and the other 2 on my Nikon speedlights? And all will be well?
