AF540 FGZ II disassembled?

Few days ago my AF540 FGZ mk I failed again, this time the zooming head rail is broken.

Does anybody have photos of mk II internal construction? Is it the same tragedy or did they manage to improve it?

In the meantime I found that the zooming mechanism is still the same... not a good news then.

I'll probably try some of larger METZ flashes instead.

@xmeda: I see the guide rails and guides (one broken), but I don't see where the motor and drive is to move the assembly. Would you mind pointing out where that is in the image? Thanks.

You can see that black plastic screw running from motor pinion to the white plastic part. That is the zooming mechanism.

Adding photos from times when it used to work

Thanks. The worm drive and motor didn't stand out in the first photo. I blankly assumed I was looking a capacitor.

So... anybody has 540II disassembled?

In the meantime I've got METZ58AF2.. lets hope that will survive longer. Just the menu is a bit slow to operate when compared to direct controls on AF540
