hopefully i'm in the right place to ask this.

I don't know much about using flash but want to improve my macro images with the irix 150. i've read a little about the godox tt350p but i'm not sure if it will work well with the irix 150. can anyone help with this please?

I believe so, but don't have that flash or lens. However, you will want the Godox XProP wireless trigger as well, since you'll want to use the flash off-camera for macro.

To start with, with a longish macro lens and a very close subject, the subject may be in the shadow cast by the lens. Secondly, you may want a less flat look by placing the flash to one side.

I have a short Vello P-TTL cord that allows me to use the flash off-camera at arms length, which also works well.

A ring flash is also good for macro, but can seem rather flat if not supplemented by significant lighting from the side.
