Pentax AF 240 flash users..

i'm planning to get an af 240ft.. 540 or 360 are too expensive for me..i have a k100d super..use both AF and MF lenses..never used a flash before..

-anyone knows a site with the specs of af 240f? or a manual maybe?

-can i directly plug it on the hotshoe and go?

-what is the ratio of its output compared to the on-camera flash of k100d super?

Thanx

With Pentax flashes, the model number is the guide number in decimeters. The guide number for the AF 240 would be 24 in meters. The built in flash has a guide number of 11 in meters on the K10D I have, so the AF 240 would have a little more than twice the power, and would add somewhat over 50% to the distance available at any given aperture.

If you Google "Pentax AF 240 flash" you will find sources of manuals from assorted places on the web. It appears that there are two versions of the flash, one of which has a zooming head. AF240FT and AF240Z.
