The Sigma 530 Super does most everything (swivel/bounce, P-TTL, wireless, built-in diffuser, HSS, etc), and the pricing is sharp.
Sigma | EF-530 DG Super Flash for Pentax P-TTL | 169-109 | B&H

Walking around and going to family functions I use the AF360. At home - aka studio work - I use some Sunpak 383's with cactus triggers through umbrellas. Great flashes.

Did you ever have a chance to compare the original Sigma 530 to the Super? It's a lot cheaper and seems to have many of the same features. I'm just curious if the Super is considerably superior.

Check my article on this — see sig or other recent post. They're basically the same flash, but the Super adds
  • wireless P-TTL
  • high-speed sync
  • 2nd-curtain sync
  • better manual control (the ST can only do full or ¹⁄₁₆th)
  • modeling light
  • stroboscopic mode.

If I've missed anything, let me know — I'm pretty sure that's comprehensive.

If you just want a lot of power in P-TTL mode, the Sigma EF530 DG ST is hands-down the best value for the money. If other factors are more of a concern, the Super is still a good deal but the competition is very strong too — stronger, depending on the features in question.

mattdm: the comparison chart is definitely helpful. The 530 Super's full manual controls and wireless function would definitely come in handy.
