Flashpoint or Godox Trigger with AF-200FG

Greetings-

Has anyone used a Flashpoint/Godox trigger with the AF-200FG. I'd like to use that little flash along with my Flashpoint flash and transmitter.

Thanks in advance.

The Flashpoint R2 Single Pin Transceiver can work with your flash or transmitter to fire your AF-200FG and other non-Godox flash as manual slaves.

Sorry, no TTL or P-TTL

I just purchased AF201FG and was going to ask the similar question.
It is very cute little thing , it should go really well with the "Q".

Thanks. I was looking at the Godox X2T-P TTL trigger, which costs more and may be overkill. The R2 may be all I really need.

Just remember that the single-pin transceiver cannot do any TTL, HSS, or trailing curtain sync either as master or controller.

Well, also the X2T-P can't act as a receiver. It's a transmitter-only unit, not a transceiver.

The Flashpoint SPT are transceivers. They and the X1R units are the only current standalone receiver units in the Godox system.

However, I should also point out that a TT600 single-pin manual speedlight is only $60, and you'd gain a built-in transceiver, remote power control, and HSS over using an SPT.

I think it has Auto, -0.5, -1.0, and Full Power settings.

Great point. All things consider maybe I should pick up one of these to complement my FP ZOOM LI-ON X R2, then I'll be all set, I think. I can still use my AF-200FG for enhanced on-camera flash.

I wonder if a Godox CT-16 would work as a trigger.

Not if the OP has to mix with Godox 2.4 GHz gear. The CT-16, iirc is 433 MHz, and therefore incompatible.

Now, whether the 2.4 GHz FC-16s would work, I have no freaking clue, but my guess would be no, or they'd have named it with an X.

Flashpoint R2 Single Pin Transceiver will work.

FYI, it's on sale today at B&H for $55, through tomorrow 4/2.

Yup. It's a great option. I just wish that Godox would have come out their own version of those instead of the FC-16s (which, sadly is a Tx/Rx set, not two transceivers.) Godox really needs their own version of the Yongnuo RF-605 or 603II. The only problem with the Flashpoint SPTs is that you can't get them outside of the US easily, because they're an Adorama exclusive.

I have been thinking recently that it may be possible to attach an RF-603II to the non-dedicated shoe on an XT2-P and use those transceivers as triggers for non-Godox strobes and speedlights.
