multi flash-stroboscopic with cactus v6ii not having much luck....help?

cactus v6ii set up for mutli flash......5 flashes at 5 hertz seems would be a 1 second exposure.....however using a af360fgz the flash does nothing.....using a canon flash it will flash only once at the beginning of the exposure........hss is off..........the display offers channels A, B, C for multi.....D does not seem to be included....no channel gives anything different........the latest firmware is on all v6ii and have no issues using normal, HSS or rear curtain syncing...reckon I am missing something

anyone have success doing this with the v6ii?

they an example of it on the cactus web page but do not explain how to set it up

thanks

Are you using one v6ii flash unit or five? If only 1, I doubt it will recycle/charge back up that fast. (HSS is different in that it fires the (a single) flash at very short intervals - a few milliseconds (at lower power per flash).) Sounds like your desired operation is somewhere in between?

a v6ii on camera.....v6ii for flash.....swapped out the 360fgz fer canon that actually has the multi flash feature and does fine on its own but via the v6ii 1 flash per exposure

i set the v6ii to flash 5 times and the hertz at 5hz..........my understanding is # of flashes / hertz = shutter time

v6ii offers the feature and it does not seem to wanna play.........power was set at 1/128........

I tried setting up multi-flash with a pentax af540fgzii and V6ii triggers. Didn't work. Same as yours, didn't fire at all. Works ok with regular flash settings tho. I do multi-flash with the cactus rf60x flashes, works fine. And with the cactus flashes D channel also includes multi-flash.

hey thanks! seems odd but reckon its available with the cactus flash only then......thats cool about the D channel since it's not included in the little display

i do have options to do mutli with other equipment but makes it awkward on picking the poison of gear since rear sync is available with the v6ii
appreciate the info
