I have a Pentax AF-500FTZ flash that has always worked flawlessly. with my 67II. I used it the other day and forgot to turn it off when I removed it from the camera bracket. In the middle of the night I heard a periodic clicking sound and it was the flash. I removed the batteries and inserted fresh ones and it seems to be OK. Does anyone know what this might be?

Maybe a button for zooming the flash head was being pressed.

Agree with Chris, the sounds that flash generates are from the zoom mechanism and it's surprisingly loud on that flash.

Thanks, I guess that is possible. It was in a bag that could have slumped over putting pressure on the button.
