Need help with metz flash

I have a metz 32 mz3 flash which I use with the 3701 module on my k10d and istds cameras. The flash seems to work very well in the auto mode on my k10d but I've noticed something strange when I use it on my ds. In ttl or auto mode I get a preflash which I don't get on the k10 and the autofocus assist beam doesn't work but does work on the k10d. Anyone have any ideas??? Bob

Hello,

AFAIK your SCA adapter is not suited for operations with the K10D. The right adapter would be the 3702-M2 (the one i use with my 45 CL4 Digital). I think this could explain why you don't get the preflash on the K10D ...

Hope this helps

Best regards

Perhaps it is just the red-eye reduction flash?
What's your flash mode on the istDs?

I am not sure, do you want this preflash or not?
