Pentax AF-360FGZ Flash?

OK...so I rarely use a flash. But I purchased second hand the above named flash, and it didn't come with any instruction booklet.

Can anyone tell me the fair average settings for this flash gun? I can't work it out!

The flash either is so strong it washes things out, or so weak that it appears to make little difference. But I know it must be a pretty good flash gun!

Help!!!!

I've tried to include all sorts of helpful information in my P-TTL flash guide, including direct links to the manual online whenever I can find it. Each flash gets its own page, and you can find the link to the manual hosted on the Pentax or Metz or Promaster site there. For example:
