Flash grid

Hey just thought I would share a little info.

I built this flash grid with straws, hot glue, a cereal box, Gaffers tape, elastic strap and velcro. This is pretty easy to build but it takes a little time.

You can build the same thing out of a corrugated box a little glue and a rubber band.

for more info see the strobist web site, I don't remember the link to site that led me down my path.

This was designed for and mounted to a viv 285, no velcro applied to the flash.

You could build this for any flash design.

More pictures are on my flickr site. Flash grid - a set on Flickr

If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

John

Intriguing! I'm a novice strobist, currently experimenting with a few DIY diffusers and bounce cards. I haven't come across the grid before.

What's the application? I'm assuming it's for directional purposes, rather than diffusing?
