TTL mode with AF-540FGZ flash gun

I can't get my AF-540FGZ flash gun into TFF mode. It seems to me that, when the gun was new, I was able to access all modes. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it a problem or is this typical when used with a K10d?

Just to make sure we're on the same page... none of the "K" series DSLRs support TTL mode. They are all P-TTL. The AF540 supports TTL metering only for TTL camera bodies - the last bodies to support this were the *ist DS and *ist DS2.

How true, and then, I believe only if the lens is a non auto apature lens.

If you want to shoot TTL mode, and asuming you have an *istD, DS or DS2 then you need to take your lens out of the A position with the AF540FGZ, or use an older flash such as the AF500FTZ which only supports TTL, then the camera will work in TTL mode
