Wireless trigger problem with Pentax 540 flash

Hi everyone.

I bought a cheap wireless flash shipped from china and I had been using it with my other camera with no problem they can syn up to 1/200 sec. When I fit it on my pentax K110D it still works with my Sigma 530 flash and can syn up to 1/180, however now I am having big trouble with the Pentax 540 flash, With the wireless trigger it can on syn with shutter speed under 1/30.

Anyone has the same issue??

Please let me know and let me know if there are any solution for it

thank you

Why are you using a trigger when both the Sigma EF530 and the Pentax 540 flashes have wireless capabilities without the need for a trigger?

I've not seen your problem, but I do know you can set each flash on separate channels to coordinate them (whilst on different settings) to fire via your on camera flash.

1st. K110d do not support wireless flash fuction.

2nd. I do not want to see the light from the build in flash, I want to fully control my own lighting

Sorry, I missed that bit.
A K100D would fix that problem, pronto
Though with wireless flash function, you can control whether the on camera flash acts as a control or master. Very handy.

Does that mean if I get a K100D or K10d I can use the flash wirelessly without seeing the light from my pop up flash in the picture?

Yes. You can set the pop-up flash to be part of the exposure or not in the menu.

IC I am going to get myself a 2nd hand K10D then. How far does the method of wireless flash work? 10 metres ok?

Also might I use my prolinca IR trigger to trigger the 540 flash?

Wrong answer. You can do that only with a flash (with wireless possibilities) mounted on the hot shoe. You can't change channels at will with the on board flash.
