K7 and 3rd party flashes

Tax return sent in. enough for either a K7 + imported Metz 48/58, or a K7 + DA17-70, with a little spare towards getting a 48/58. Either way, i'm getting a new body, and a new flash to replace my dead AF540FGZ

Hence my question: Has anyone used the K7 with a non-pentax flash? any problems, incompatabilities?

specifically:

Metz 48
Metz 58
Vivitar 383
