AF080C ring flash & K100D

Hi;

Is it possible to use AF 080C ring flash with K100D ?
If not why and is there an alternative way to trigger it.

It should be possible to use the flash in manual mode at either full power or 1/4 power - I think those are the only manual settings. You would have to fine tune the exposure by changing aperture settings or moving the flash closer to or further away from the subject.

Steinback is correct. You can only use the 080c in manual mode at full power or 1/4 power on anything newer than the *ist DS(2). For macro use this is actually a lot of light, and I think 1/4 power is the most useful setting.

I bought a cheap secondhand DS just to have TTL-support for my 080c eventually. It was worth it (still cheaper than a new 160c
