Flash Trigger devices

Hello All,

I see that there are a lot of flash trigger devices on the market today. I am interested in getting a safe and reliable system for my Pentax *ist-DL camera. I like the style that has a small transmitter that mounts to the camera's hot shoe and send a signal to remote receivers. Flash units mounted on the receivers activate when they receive the transmitters signal . Some models even offer several different channels to communicate on allowing for some flashes to participate in different arrangements.
My question, does any one have any experience or knowledge of a reputable product that is reasonable in price (under $200), battery operated / no cables or electrical sources required, capable of utilizing 4 receivers / able to buy additional receivers, that is safe and compatible with a Pentax *ist-DL. I have looked on Ebay and have seen several makes, but have not been able to get any answers back (most seem to be located in Hong Kong, perhaps their is a language barrier and it may not be possible to communicate easily)

Let me know your thoughts,

Spyglass

I love my Pocket Wizards. They are pricey, but reliable.

Pocket Wizards are great. You might also looks at Elinchrome EL Skyports, which are a bit less expensive.

Thanks for the tip

Now that is what I am looking for! Thanks Paul_C & jimpurcell. The Pocket Wizard looks and appears, from the listed specifications, to be a professional grade system. I hate buying second rate junk that seems all too common on Ebay- "the cheap and the poor pay twice". I will see if I can locate a source here in British Columbia, Canada

Thanks again for the tip guys,

Spyglass
