Originally posted by Bill L I'm thinking of the Pentax AF - 540 for the K-x I bought recently. I'm concerned that it may be too large for the camera body and the comments that in P-TTL, the shutter speed is ofter 1/15 or there-abouts. Am I correct in thinking that size may not be a concern in that the Metz and other brands are about the same size for equal power?
I am also going get a flash extender for telephoto work. Does anyone know the model number that Better Beamer builds for the 540 or Metz 58?
Thanks,
Bill
for the better beamer I believe mine is an FX1
I measured the dimensions of the flash and looked on the site for the dimensions of the different options.
as the AF 540 being too large for the K7, it has not bothered me yet
ALso, what is this comment about 1/15th?
I always shoot with a flash in manual mode, set the camera to 1/150th or 1/180th, or even use HSS if you want, but take control of it, auto modes will always try to meet the exposure without flash first, so don't use them.
