Weekly Challenge #25 - Color
Posted By: daacon, 07-31-2007, 05:48 PM

Well an executive decesion needed to be made in the interest of moving forward. I do not intend to violate the spirit of the competition, but rather to give us all excuses to get out there and shoot something! If I have offended anyone I appologize. Feel free to delete this thread.

I am not sure what happened to Ivan hopefully all is well and he is on holidays. Pete just won one recently I think so we all want to see his pictures and we have not heard from Cullen. So I will jump in !

The theme for this weeks challenge is
Color(s)

It can be an image with one crisp color, lots of colors, colored opinions, see the world though rose colored glasses, I know we will see some great interpretations.

This challenge is pretty much self explanatory. Your pictures just must illustrate color(s) however you interpret it in one photo.

Your final entry is due next Tuesday meaning all entries must be in before Wednesday the 8th whenever that is where you live.

Ill announce the winner next Wednesday or Thursday.

Good luck to everyone.

The rules:
1. Post ONE photo (max 800x800) as a response to THIS post.
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme. It can be colour or B&W, your choice.
3. You can offer as much or as little additional information as you wish, but I'd be interested to know the location/event/whatever being depicted.
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and chose 1 of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. The challenge runs for 7 days plus a day or so for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any camera will do but it must be a Pentax. (added by Jonas for Challenge #23: Just use any camera you want. I'm not discriminating anyone as long as the is an active member here)

Previous Challenge Subjects:
1-Statues, 2-Wheels, 3-Speed, 4-Peace, 5-Survival, 6-Macro, 7-Mountains, 8-Children, 9-Post Processing, 10- Windows & Doors, 11-Sport, 12-Urban Landscape, 13-Wisdom, 14-Power, 15-Music, 16-Pathways, 17-Lines, 18-Storm, 19-Boats, 20-Water, 21 - Golden Hour, 22 - Natural Lighting, Portraits, 23- Motion Blur,24-Simplicity

I really need to get busy and get some new stuff. But, anyway, here's an old one that fits the bill.

Well, here's some green:-).
Jewel Lake in North Idaho by the dock early Sunday morning. I was the first person there and I was kicking myself for not bringing my fishing gear. I bet Little Laker will spot why:-). I'm primarily a river fisherman but this is a favorite small lake, it gets some great hatches and you can pull trout out of the edges of the lilly pads like bass. Leech patterns in the fall are killer.
K10D M-135/3.5 @1/125 sec. I don't remember the aperture exactly but I think I was at f5.6 or f8.

You have to make it hard don't ya? With literally thousands of flower shots to chose from, I could spend days, but here's one with some intense color, "A river of tulips" DS with Tamron 90mm F2.8 macro; f8 at 1/500
