Weekly Challenge: 142 The 'hood
Posted By: NaClH2O, 07-26-2010, 09:15 AM

If you are like me you feel that you need to go somewhere to practice your photography. Get in the car, drive to the park, go to the city, somewhere away from where you live. What I would like to see instead is shots taken within a short walk from your house/apartment. You don't need to go far for good photos, they can be out your window or just around the corner. I don't care what the subject is, it can be abstract, street photography, architecture...whatever. Just so that it is no further than a short walk away from your door.

Contest will end midnight EST Tuesday Aug 3.

The fine print....
1. Post ONE photo (max 1024x1024).
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme.
3. Post your single picture in this thread, and explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly theme (especially if it's not obvious).
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and choose 1 of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. This challenge runs for 7 days plus a day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any Pentax camera will do or a Samsung DSLR.
8. Pictures can be from any time frame, not just within the week of the current theme.

Previous Challenge Subjects:

Doh! Actually neither. I posted them in the wrong thread. That'll teach me to have ten tabs open at once. I'll delete those and find another.

EDIT: Done. Images replaced.

Neighbourhood skyscape

Whenever I have been unable to get out for a more dedicated photo session, I take a walk around the block with my camera for the practice if nothing else (well it's more like a 12 block route). This shot is taken at the end of my street.
