POTW #138 October 31 to November 14

Welcome to the 138th edition of the Pentax Forum's Picture of the Week!

This edition covers photos taken between October 31 to November 14 2010.

POTW is a great place to show what you're shooting day-to-day with your cameras. It gives us all a chance to see what other members are up to with their Pentax cameras in their parts of the world in which they live or have visited. We can share ideas and hopefully learn from one another! So show us your week and have fun.


Same rules as before:

1) No theme, just post your favorite pix.

2) Under 6 images per post so the thread doesn't get too big.

3) Any Pentax camera or Samsung SLR is fine, whether it's film, P&S, or DSLR.

4) Date: Sunday 31 October to Sunday 14 November 2010. Enter anything you shot last week or during this current week until the thread closes.

5) The current host will appoint the new host as an invitation via PM. If possible, the new thread will be linked to the previous one and the new thread will start between Noon EDT and 5PM EDT on Sunday. If the thread doesn't start, please contact Peter Zack, Moderator via PM.

Joe, nice blue skies, lucky you for having a nice fall. Here it's the other way around, we've had a gorgeous summer, but fall is very disappointing up till now, lots of mist and grey skies.

Ramseybuckeye, that first shot of the sidewalk is funny, but I guess the situation isn't. And did the guy stop the ball?

Daacon, nice Vegas shots, so typically Vegas. The way I feel about Las Vegas, once you're there you wanna go, and once you're gone you wanna go back.

Mummarazzi, nice shots, I especially like the one with your little girl against that big door.

Mark, nice shot, her glasses go very well with what she's carrying and her dress.

Butterflies were out this weekend, here's a decent backlit Gulf Fritillary. Not a thing I could do about the blade of grass in front, I shoot 'em where they land...Shot with Lentar 90-230, full zoom about 10 feet away. No editing, just crop and resize.

Paleo Pete, that first butterfly has some extra ordinary colours. For the second one I had to look twice.

The Magic Mouse.
Last week in my T&C group on Flickr we had a High Key week.
Hard theme and I had real problems taking pictures for that theme.
This one I liked, although I should have cleaned the mouse better, did some cloning too but it seems I did forget some spots.
