P52-3-16 Colour: colourful
Posted By: Rense, 11-12-2010, 08:37 AM

I must have had an moment of insanity when I decided the theme of the 16th week
of this P52-3 had to be Colourful. How on earth is is possible to judge such
a broad theme??? Well, in this second week of colour I want to see
explosions of colours in your photos! Abstracts, real life settings, whatever you
want, but rainbows of colours are obligatory. .

I don't think I have to explain the colour, or what you can do with it, do I? So,
let's go out shooting!!!

Just some backgrounds and some ideas:
Well....this isn't necessary, is it?

Time Frame: pictures for week 16 are to be taken and posted between
20101113 and 20101121, so from November 13th - November 21st, 2010.

Rules:
1. Anyone and everyone who is interested in eligible. The goal continues to be
have fun and share comments, concepts, insights, and techniques with fellow
Pentaxians.
2. Each week will feature a Theme and Sub-concept for you to explore.
3. Post your single picture in Project 52-3 thread for the week. Explain what
motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly
theme.
4. Some post-processing is OK (adjusting white balance, exposure, color
saturation), but let's try to stay away from heavily PP'ed images here. Try to
keep the creativity to photographic techniques and the captures themselves.
5. Since this project is about technique, and not camera, shots taken by nonPentax
cameras are allowed
. Cameras can be SLRs, DSLRs, Point & Shoot and Medium Format.
6. There is one “Theme Concept” labeled “black and white,” but feel free to post
black and white, sepia, monotone, etc.
, for any of the other themes.
7. The picture you post should be taken during the week in which the theme is
active
to be eligible for judging.
8. Any picture taken from 20100731 to listed closing date is acceptable for the two
“Seasonal” competitions – Projects 52-3-51 & 52.

Additional Information, including the scheme with subjects: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/mini-challenges-games-photo-stories/10506...-year-3-a.html

Have fun shooting!

Done so near the theme I, for one, would consider it eligible. But I am not the boss this go-round.

I think it's okay, unless people start complaining!
Since in past weeks, photos have been disqualified for being out of the time frame, I'd say to keep it consistent a re-shoot would be more appropriate. It's a friendly challenge, but I personally find that a major part of the challenge is taking the shot that specific week. That's my 0.014586 EUR anyway.

Gonna throw my vote in for John's idea on this one. Simple just follow the rules.

I like that mummarazzi. Here is kid style colourful plus 17 years. These are the curtains in my just-about-18 year-old daughter's room. She has been into a 60's theme thing for the past year or so.

That's too funny. I also have an almost 18 daughter who's into the 60's, tie dyes, etc. Doesn't like the Doors much, but definitely a classic rocker. We usually listen in to a great radio show Saturday nights from 7-11pm EST that you can also stream on the net. Here's a link to last Saturday's playlist: WSGE 91.7fm - WSGE Playlist

Not your typical commercial radio offerings.

EDIT: just discovered that the link only takes you to the current playlist, you'll need to click on the calendar for the actual show.

Went on a little hike Saturday and found that everything hasn't turned brown yet. I don't think I'll get the chance to get out again in this time period so I'm not going to find any wild and crazy colours!

Well the Doors was very "last year" for her, these days it is vintage Bob Dylan (circa Highway 61) and endlessly watching Breakfast at Tiffany's. It sure beats the rap and goth death metal stages we went through!

Glad mine hasn't liked those genres. She's more Pink Floyd, Moody Blues, Yes, etc. Gee, I wonder where she got those tastes from?

My son is into the gamut...like father like son. Eclecticism FTW!

I have been following the coloring and decay of the leaves of my pear tree for a couple of weeks and this morning the light really set off some of the few that remain.

Argh! Wllm, that is very similar to what I was planning to do. I guess I need a new idea, or at least a new take on it.
