PotW #139 November 7th to November 21nd
A big thank you to Karen who made last weeks PotW a great, great succes. I
understand why you couldn't get a successor, raising the bar that high!

Welcome to the 139th edition of the Pentax Forum's Photo of the Week! Let's try
to make this weeks edition as much of a success as last weeks.

PotW is a great place to show what you're shooting day-to-day with your
cameras. It gives us all a chance to see what other members are up to with their
Pentax cameras in their parts of the world in which they live or have visited. We
can share ideas and hopefully learn from one another! So show us your week
and have fun.

Same rules as before:

1) No theme, just post your favorite pix.

2) Under 6 images per post so the thread doesn't get too big.

3) Any Pentax camera or Samsung SLR is fine, whether it's film, P&S, or DSLR.

4) Date: Sunday 7 November to Sunday 21November 2010. Enter anything you
shot last week or during this current week until the thread closes.

5) The current host will appoint the new host as an invitation via PM. If possible,
the new thread will be linked to the previous one and the new thread will start
between Noon EDT and 5PM EDT on Sunday. If the thread doesn't start, please
contact Peter Zack, Moderator via PM.

Thanks Rense etc.

Hey Rense, you have something to look forward to next week. I am amazed at this K5 camera. It's a leap ahead, not a step ahead.

A couple shot today with the K5 and Da35mm :

Bramela - Those flowers look great, excellent shots.

I wasn't going to do this, but it was rainy and yukky yesterday, all I got were some more raindrop shots right outside my back door. That way I could run inside every time the rain started again...Maybe KarenH was right, water drops might end up my theme for the week...it's looking like rain again now.

SMC Pentax 50mm f1.7 lens with binocular lens macro rig attached, shot at f22 with onboard flash.

I tried to pick a couple of the better ones with some scenery inside the drops...I thought I'd never get through them all, I took at least 50 shots...and most came out very good, contrary to my usual one decent shot out of every 30 or 40...

Rense - Looks like you pegged it, after I posted I looked up Chrysididae, the first picture I clicked in the Wiki page is the twin brother of the blue bee I shot and posted yesterday. I couldn't find them in the books I have. Thanks for the info, I'm glad to get an ID on one...cuckoo wasp...cool.

JeffJS - thanks for the link, I bookmarked that one, might come in handy at times.

It's evening now here, so no camera use anymore today. Well, maybe I can take 2 extra-ordinary tomorrow, since the forecast is it will be a little bit sunny (I hope).

Nice shots Paleo. Those close ups of rain drips are always great for a bit of Macro shooting. Well done!

Karen, We have been having quite a bit of rain as well, but I have managed to squeeze a few shots in between downpours. Still very damp and drizzly today. SIN today, ...maybe.

Mark - nice one, but not very bbluesmanny, if I'm allowed to say... Most of your shots wear your sign so obviously, but this one is lacking it.... I like it though...
Bruce - wonderful shots, and they make me looking forward even more...
Pete - nice, love the stars in the second one!

Interesting observation/comment. Always need to mix it up from time to time

Again, another collection of great photos. Thanks for hosting Rense. I haven't gotten out much with the camera, but visited a couple of flea markets this weekend...

Nothing worthwhile for me here....
