Weekly Challenge 151: Religion
Thinking about next theme, and scrolling through the themes already done, I was wondering why 'religion' was never covered before. It's all around us, in rituals, buildings, and monuments, for instance. And I think it affects us all in one way or another. So, I want to see photos which depict relgion in some way - obscure or obvious.

Challenge ends next Wednesday 24 November at midnight (in your own time zone)

The fine print....
1. Post ONE photo (max 1024x1024).
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme.
3. Post your single picture in this thread, and explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly theme (especially if it's not obvious).
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and choose 1 of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. This challenge runs for 7 days plus a day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any Pentax camera will do or a Samsung DSLR.
8. Pictures can be from any time frame, not just within the week of the current theme.

In summer we started our holiday in the south of Germany.
There we took the Karwendelbahn up for some walking in the mountains.
Almost on top we walked into this service.

Great theme, Rense, and so many terrific photos already. Here's my humble contribution, a typically New England view of a modest Methodist church on a windy, stormy day:

This is a Greek Orthodox church in my neighbourhood. It is a very busy community centre.

Not my normal type of photography, but I paid £1 some while ago in order to be allowed to take photographs in Lichfield Cathedral.

I actually enjoyed the experience.
