Weekly Challenge 151: Religion
Thinking about next theme, and scrolling through the themes already done, I was wondering why 'religion' was never covered before. It's all around us, in rituals, buildings, and monuments, for instance. And I think it affects us all in one way or another. So, I want to see photos which depict relgion in some way - obscure or obvious.

Challenge ends next Wednesday 24 November at midnight (in your own time zone)

The fine print....
1. Post ONE photo (max 1024x1024).
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme.
3. Post your single picture in this thread, and explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly theme (especially if it's not obvious).
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and choose 1 of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. This challenge runs for 7 days plus a day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any Pentax camera will do or a Samsung DSLR.
8. Pictures can be from any time frame, not just within the week of the current theme.

Very nice shot...but I guess the time of year made me think of the Heisman pose.

Waymarker and makeshift shrine admist a fire-scarred field taken outside Valenca, Portugal, during my pilgrimadge in September to Santiago Compostella, ES, via the Camino Portugues.

An expression of faith in a less traditional way.

Is there still no photo on my entry? Strange, I can see it. This is what happens when you disappear for a while and forget how to do simple tasks. Alrighty, lemme figure this out and try again.

Hope this works, if not, try try try again (for a fifth time, more or less).

I was thinking of posting a photo of a church but there are already lots of those so I'll go for something I don't think I have seen in this thread yet, Buddha.
This is from Taos, NM, where eastern, western, and new age philosophies collide.

This one is CLOSED now. Later this night I hope to come up with the winners, but seeing the number of entries, there is a possibility it won't be before tomorrow....
