POTW #140 - November 14 - November 28
Posted By: daacon, 11-21-2010, 07:10 AM

Welcome to the 140th edition of the Pentax Forum's Picture of the Week!

Thanks to Rense for hosting last week and asking me this week.

This edition covers photos taken between November 14th to November 28th , 2010, or shots from last week you haven't processed until now.

A special welcome to all new members: feel free to post your shots from this week and last week!

Most important note: Everyone feel free to post your shots from this week and last week!

POTW is a great place to show what you're shooting day-to-day with your cameras. It gives us all a chance to see what other members are up to with their Pentax cameras in their parts of the world in which they live or have visited. We can share ideas and hopefully learn from one another which is great too!

So show us what you've seen in your little corner of the planet! Looking forward to seeing all of what's out there this week.

Again same rules as before:

1) No theme, just post your favorite pix.

2) Lets keep it to fewer than 6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week.

3) Any Pentax camera or Samsung SLR is fine, whether it's film, P&S, or DSLR.

4) Date: Sunday November 14th to Sunday November 28th 2010. Enter anything you shot last week or during this current week until the thread closes.

5) The current host will appoint the new host as an invitation via PM. If possible, the new thread will be linked to the previous one and the new thread will start between Noon EDT and 5PM EDT on Sunday. If the thread doesn't start, please contact Peter Zack, Moderator via PM.

Previous hosts: Each one is a hotlink to that POTW thread to look back at the previous POTW's.

So let’s get started! I have been house bound more or less will try and get out this week , although it’s going to be a busy work week for me.

November is birthday month for the kids. This was the first one we missed for my daughter as we were in Vegas, so we celebrated both on my Son’s birthday a mere 10 days later.

What can every 19 year old use?? Cash of course!

The Kids with their cakes ….

Even the dog gets a small amount of ice cream his favorite!

One Family tradition is we always go out for dinner. Here we are at the Keg – the kids are real people now so their boyfriends / girlfriends get to come , and the days of chicken fingers and fries have long since been replaced with steak, crab and salmon !

Let the games begin!

littledrawe - Nice series I love the leaf in the first one. And the last one is very cool with the mist comming off the water.

xjjohonno - ahh yes as one continent hits winter yours hit summer. Nice flowers and street shots. That girl with the camera not sure what kind of expression that is but I would be careful

Tamia - upir feathered friends really seem to enjoy that tree. Indeed long shadows in that second one and the red and green looks yummy.

Mark - like the framing on this one. Also the fact the man appears to looking in the mirror.

Yeah, I know, quite different for me, but I do try to grab the occasional abstract shot...
Nice one.

Are they really all over the place, or did they just overtake the living room?

John, nice sunset colours.

Before we let Dave off he hook for his great hosting of POTW, thought I would post a few more. Know I have exceeded my limit a few times over, but hey-I'm from SA
The first few posts are from my work place, where we have a skeleton which has been around for ages. So played around with it a bit, some fun and games. I emphasise that this is not a mugshot of me.

The next one is from a pre-school graduation ceremony, where I was MC, speaker and photographer. Whoever said men cannot multi-task. Well Ok, I did it one at a time

The last one is crab seen at a local pond. Got him just as he put his eyes out of the water

Thanks Dave for hosting.
1. Do you like my colourful friend?
2. Bearings make interesing eyes, yes?
3. Mrs (yes is a female-how else can I have fun?) with her scooter.
4. A young graduate
5. Crab.

John - Nice morning walk I love that last one the silhouette of the tree is great.

SpecialK - umm did you buy a new Caddy on Black Friday and drove it to watch Kobe and the gang

Karen - we live in a two story with a basement. The snowmen dominate the main floor (Family room, living room, kitchen) and upstaris hallway. They have not made it to the basement this year anyway , they have before (but my Son lives down there and well a 19 year old boy and cleanliness do not always mix).

Noeclmn - thanks for the kind words. I love the skeleton ! Kids must of had a great time. That little crab would look better boiled and with a little butter

This thread is now closed for picture posting anyway, So let's keep up the great work on Tamia 's POTW141

John, I like the power lines shot and the way the railway tracks subtly echo the linear/parallel theme.

Great shots, Pat! Really beautiful. But this POTW is closed now. Why not post them over at this week's edition: POTW #141.
