Weekly Challenge #32 - Landscapes
Posted By: Eaglerapids, 09-30-2007, 01:48 PM

I've looked through all the challenges so far and I see "Mountains" and "Urban Landscapes". I love landscapes and I would like to see your representations of the countryside from our diverse community. Of course they can contain mountains but mountains don't have to be the main focus. I would like to see farmhouses or barns and all those kinda things but I'm not looking for cities. I would like to see where you guys live and what you see when you go for a ride or hike in the country, the places you go when you want to get out of the cities.
For example:

The rules:
1. Post ONE photo (max 800x800) as a response to THIS post.
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme. It can be colour or B&W, your choice.
3. You can offer as much or as little additional information as you wish, but I'd be interested to know the location/event/whatever being depicted.
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and chose 1 of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. The challenge runs for 6 days plus a day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any camera will do but it must be a Pentax. (added by Jonas for Challenge #23: Just use any camera you want. I'm not discriminating anyone as long as the is an active member here)

The competition is open from right now until midnight Saturday October 6th. I will judge on Sunday the 7th and post results during that day.

Good Luck!!

PS: I am not a good judge nor do I portray one on tv:-). I don't feel qualified to judge anything much less the incredible photos you guys are capable of but I promise to do my best.

Why does this dialog box keep popping up only when I am viewing this page in the forum? I didn't click on any picture yet it is persistent and very annoying!

I've gotten that this morning as well. For the first time.

The site that's asking for a password, doesn't seem to exist.

Hope someone hasn't hacked into the server here.

I'm getting it too, Looking at the html for the page it seems to be trying to get to the image in raz-o's entry.

Don't know why it keeps popping up, but C-panel (Control Panel) is a website administration software package. Maybe it has escaped from its cage!

Eaglerapids. If you go to explorer (I can't see them either in Firefox) and you'll see a red X for the picture. Right click that X and when the 'properties' comes up copy the full URL for the picture. then paste it to a new tab and you can see the picture. BTW RAZ o's can't be viewed in any way with out the password so don't bother and maybe he'll repost. Given the title I'd like to see it.

Now that being said. May I suggest those that have no space left here or haven't donated to get the extra space (you should donate to keep the forums going here: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/latest-board-news/139-donation-system-now-up.html) maybe you should post your entry in the Pentaxforums gallery and paste the link to your submission post to these challenges. It takes a long time to do the above and try to judge the contest.

This is interactive right? Wow Avant, this is where you go to relax. I figure by the end you'll be so relaxed you've melted.

Here's my take...photo taken with the istD in Malta. A place I spent many years working. You've probably not heard of it.
