Welcome to the 145th edition of the Pentax Forum's Picture of the Week!

fotaki will again be hosting this week.

This edition covers photos taken between 26 December 2010 to 2 January 2011, or shots from last week you haven't processed until now.

A special welcome to all new members: Join us old hands and post your shots from this week and last week!

Most important note to everyone: Remember, you can post your shots from this week AND last week!

POTW is a great place to show what you're shooting day-to-day with your cameras. It gives us all a chance to see what other members are up to with their Pentax cameras in their parts of the world in which they live or have visited. We can share ideas and hopefully learn from one another which is great too!

So show us what you've seen in your little corner of the planet! Looking forward to seeing all of what's out there this week.

Again same rules as before:

1) No theme, just post your favorite pix.

2) Lets keep it to fewer than 6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week.

3) Any Pentax camera or Samsung SLR is fine, whether it's film, P&S, or DSLR.

4) Date: Sunday 26 December (2010) to 2 January, 2011. Enter anything you shot last week or during this current week until the thread closes.

5) The current host will appoint the new host as an invitation via Private Message (PM). If possible, the new thread will be linked to the previous one and the new thread will start between Noon EDT and 5PM EDT on Sunday. If the thread doesn't start, please contact Peter Zack, Moderator via PM.

We had a beautiful, warm, sunny day yesterday and I spent a few hours at another of our city parks, one I have never visited in the winter. Lisa will know where I am.

Sorry I've been absent for a while. Went down with the flu Sunday and felt like hell. Feeling a little better now so hope to join in again soon. Some really lovely work being posted - keep it going.

I know that little creek bed well Joe! Any deer come up to you out there yesterday?

I usually take a different route through the park so this is the first time I came across the creek but I recognized it from recent images of yours. And deer, yes, I kept coming right up to them on the path but most of the time I did not have the right lens on my camera. (Ever notice how people assume the only reason to go to a park with a camera is to photograph wildlife or birds?) I caught a decent image of a young mule deer missing one antler and this series of interactions between a group of mallards where one seems to get rid of a rival and then looks pretty pleased with himself!

@everyone else. As usual, POTW is showing great stuff. And John invited me to go for a walk around the Botanic Gardens but I couldn't make it because of work pressures. Ah well, I've been earning the money to pay for the K5

Club 185 in Columbus, Ohio, I've ate here once, a few years back, and would like to go again.
