Weekly Challenge #158 - Photography Cliches

From Wikipedia
"A cliché or cliche (pronounced UK: /ˈkliːʃeɪ/, US: /klɪˈʃeɪ/) is an expression, idea, or element of an artistic work which has been overused to the point of losing its original meaning or effect, rendering it a stereotype, especially when at some earlier time it was considered meaningful or novel."

Some photography cliche examples might be, train tracks, your shadow, mirror portrait, illuminated mountain peaks, babies, homeless people, sunsets/sunrises, empty bench, insect on a flower, reflections, close up of red lips with a strawberry etc. etc. etc.

Looking forward to seeing your examples of photographic cliches.
RU

Challenge ends on Thursday, February 3 at midnight!

The fine print....
1. Post ONE photo (max 1024x1024).
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme.
3. Post your single picture in this thread, and explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly theme (especially if it's not obvious).
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and choose 1 of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. This challenge runs for 7 days plus a day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any Pentax camera will do or a Samsung DSLR.
8. Pictures can be from any time frame, not just within the week of the current theme.

No discussion of photographic cliche would be complete without the obligatory moon shot!!

This one is from last year when there were fires a few hundred miles from here that tinted the atmosphere for a couple weeks.

I'm laughing too, this must be the most difficult challenge to judge ever.

Oh, and lets not forget: the love from man's best friend.

Haven't seen a Festus shot in awhile. Baby Otis seems to have run him off..

As to my photo, the tree rodents are more likely to pose than the Hound is. Not for entry but my favorite series is this one. A lot of cliches here...

I don't have the final photo posted in which The Hound expresses his True opinion of the entire encounter.

3 cliche's and an OOPS!

This is a great theme! I've got examples of almost every shot posted so far. I thought I'd go with this one. As anybody who has shot with it knows, the Zenitar 16mm FE has a BAD flare problem. The hood, as on all FE's, is kinda nonexistant. So when taking this shot of garden path (cliche #1) and flowering cherry (cliche #2) I tried to shade the sun a bit with my hand between the camera and the sun. I didn't see the finger when I hit the shutter. But it made me laugh so hard when I opened the shot in PS that I've kept it. BTW I imagine that 'unwanted body part in shot' is a very common error, and as such can qualify as cliche #3.
Pentax DS, Zentar 16mm FE 1/350 a second, aperture unknown.

NaCl(wonderful theme and gonna be hard hard hard to judge!)H2O
