Weekly Challenge # 33 - Coastal · 09:41 AM

Sorry for the delay !!

I'm a big fan of coastal/seascape photography so thought this would make a great challenge. I'm looking forward to some great entries & to get things started here's one of my own efforts. Due to my delay the competition will end on Tuesday 16th October & I'll post the results on the 17th October

The rules:
1. Post ONE photo (max 800x800) as a response to THIS post.
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme. It can be colour or B&W, your choice.
3. You can offer as much or as little additional information as you wish, but I'd be interested to know the location/event/whatever being depicted.
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and chose 1 of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. The challenge runs for 6 days plus a day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any camera will do but it must be a Pentax. (added by Jonas for Challenge #23: Just use any camera you want. I'm not discriminating anyone as long as the is an active member here)

A foggy day in November last year. Rodman's Head right near City Island. The Bronx NY, I love the fact that if you look hard you can escape The City.

While photographing a boating event I got this photo of the harbor at night

I took this photograph in some of the worst conditions imaginable. Howling wind, sand flying(nightmare for the camera) wet and cold.
Hastily snapped without much preparation. Taken off the coast of Newcastle, Australia.

Well Lads being a Mountain Man so to speak I am not near enough any Coasts to go out and snap one. However I did sleep at an Holiday Inn Express

- This is truly a coastal shot - the California Coast somewhere between San Diego and San Fransisco on a recent buisness trip at about 30k+ feet

I have several coastal shots but none are as captivating as some of those already posted or will be posted, but what the heck I like partaking in small challenges on THIS forum.

As previously, this shot was taken in Malta when I was there last year.

If you look close enough, you will see tiny white specs - these ARE people. This place is huge.

Taken by me whist vacationing on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia. This was one of the rare sunny days of our week long stay.
If you stare long enough at it you can just make out the outline of the island of St. Vincent 26 miles away. Taken with my (then) newly acquired *ist DS and the Kit lens.

I liked St. Lucia a lot!
