POTW 153: 20 February - 6 March 2011

Welcome to the 153rd edition of the Pentax Forum's Picture of the Week. Thanks to drugal for hosting last week and for passing the torch to me.

This edition covers photos taken between 20 February and 6 March, 2011. That lets you show off any shots you took last week but haven't processed until now. In other words, you can post your shots from this week AND last week.

POTW is a great place to show what you've been shooting day-to-day. It gives us all a chance to see what other members are up to with their Pentax (and Samsung) cameras in the parts of the world in which they live or have visited. We can share ideas, learn from one another, and have a good time.

So show us what you've seen in your little corner of the planet! Looking forward to seeing all of what's out there this week. A special welcome to all new members!

Again same rules as always:

1) No theme, just post your favourite pix.

2) Lets keep it to fewer than 6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week.

3) Any Pentax camera or Samsung SLR is fine, whether it's film, P&S, or DSLR.

4) Enter anything you shot last week or during this current week until the thread closes.

5) The current host will appoint the new host as an invitation via Private Message (PM). If possible, the new thread will be linked to the previous one and the new thread will start between Noon EDT and 5PM EDT on Sunday. If the thread doesn't start, please contact Peter Zack, Moderator via PM.

Previous hosts: Each one is a hotlink to that POTW thread to look back at the previous POTW's.

Joe, I especially like the first one, but wish I could see the entire shadow outlining the shape of the rock.

Have I mentioned yet that I miss the snow? (though not the shovelling!)

Two shots from my newest acquisition - Tamron SP 90mm f2.5 macro. I am continuously exploring it and last night I made a DIY pop up flash extension (I learned about it from Rense I think). Not the best, but until I can get a dedicated flash, or we get better weather, it will have to do!

Thanks Voytech. I sure hope that second one is not a single malt!

So where is everyone? This thread needs new blood!

Anyone reading please contribute so we can see something from your eye / your mind / your backyard. It's fun and painless.

Thanks for hosting, Robin. Between shoveling out after storms, and overtime with work, life's been very busy. However, I have these shots...

Nice contributions -- love the variety.

The frog looking into the binoculars is cute. Those tumblers are my style. BTW, I've had that wine and remember it being good value... with a great label!

It's coming Robin, as soon as I get over this throat infection that i am seeing a doctor about today. As you all know, good photopgrapgy requires a good throat . And then there is world Pentax Day which I should like to participate in. In between there is the world cup Cricket. And the Uefa knockout round. And....

But it is coming.

See U next week!

The animals are now making their presence known in the thread. So it's time for Schweppes to make her appearance.

What is out there beyond the blinds? Oh look! It's a whole wide world!

Thanks Jeff, Rocco's fine.
He'll be here very soon, have to do his 52 weeks shot.

I see the Hound is still very happy with you having the black box in front of you face

@Robin, funny name for a cat.

Schweppes was already named at the animal shelter but it seems to suit her bubbly personality!
