Weekly challenge #164 "The Monochrome landscape"

So. Looking though the long, long list with subjects of this challenge, I feel it's getting harder and harder to come up with something new.... So many things have been done before! A subject I couldn't find - but it can be my problem, because of the early morning - is monochrome landscape..... And if it's there already, I hope you don't mind doing it again.

So, free that Ansel Adams deep inside you, and post that one spectacular landscape in B&W, sepia, blue....

Hope everyone has fun with this one. Challenge ends on Thursday April 28th at Midnight EST.

The fine print....
1. Post ONE photo (max 1024x1024).
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme.
3. Post your single picture in this thread, and explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly theme (especially if it's not obvious).
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and choose 1 of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. This challenge runs for 7 days plus a day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any Pentax camera will do or a Samsung DSLR.
8. Pictures can be from any time frame, not just within the week of the current theme.

I won't judge, but I will give you my three choices:

VaughnA's shot - just an overall great shot; cropping was great, great subject, and the cloud'age is fantastic. (great gray tonal range also, from the whitest of white to the blackest of blacks and a ton of gray shades in between)

Graham V's shot - another overall great shot; just as VaughnA's shot, cropping was great, great subject matter, and great cloud'age. This shot has somewhat of an old military shot-style feel to it, throw in a tank somewhere in the shot and it could pass as an old "Refined" military shot...

Mark Morb's shot - cropping was great, great subject matter, and great cloud'age. Fitting name for the shot also "The Watcher"...
