P52-3-47 - Landscape - Water
Posted By: jmschrei, 06-10-2011, 08:28 PM

Still filling in for Rense And while you are all out shooting portrait landscapes this weekend for Project 52-3-46, have a go at the theme for the coming week, Landscapes - Water

Just some backgrounds and some ideas:
I think this should be fairly self explanatory.

Time Frame: pictures for week 47 are to be taken and posted between
20110611 and 20110619, so from June 11th 2011 - June 19th 2011.

Rules:
1. Anyone and everyone who is interested in eligible. The goal continues to be
have fun and share comments, concepts, insights, and techniques with fellow
Pentaxians.
2. Each week will feature a Theme and Sub-concept for you to explore.
3. Post your single picture in Project 52-3 thread for the week. Explain what
motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly
theme.
4. Some post-processing is OK (adjusting white balance, exposure, color
saturation), but let's try to stay away from heavily PP'ed images here. Try to
keep the creativity to photographic techniques and the captures themselves.
5. Since this project is about technique, and not camera, shots taken by nonPentax
cameras are allowed. Cameras can be SLRs, DSLRs, Point & Shoot and Medium Format.
6. There is one “Theme Concept” labeled “black and white,” but feel free to post
black and white, sepia, monotone, etc., for any of the other themes.
7. The picture you post should be taken during the week in which the theme is
active to be eligible for judging.
8. Any picture taken from 20100731 to listed closing date is acceptable for the two
“Seasonal” competitions – Projects 52-3-51 & 52.

Additional Information, including the scheme with subjects: P52 year 3.

As Rense would say, have fun shooting!

Just a reminder to focus your attention on water in landscape, one of my favorite subjects. Make my job difficult by swamping me with a flood of water, and be imaginative!

Just a reminder, folks. The weekend is coming... Here's a shot for inspiration, just because I like it and haven't shown anyone yet.

I have something from last weekend, but I want to see if the water stops falling out of the sky so I can get out and see if I get something I like better. But I will enter!!!

One from me taken yesterday 16th. Bad weather can actually give up some great shots.

Thanks for the entry, Bruce, and for the promise of one, Joe. Everyone else, today's World Pentax Day's today, so combine projects and grab some water landscapes!

One more day left, folks...

Joe, I can't see your photo here. I can click through to your Flickr site and see it, but it's not displaying on this page.

Hopefully I corrected the link, it was showing for me. I was fighting with my synchronization between flickr and Aperture late last night and may have disconnected the link.

Joe, I till can't see your pic.

But here's one from me. Got this on June 12 in Pinnacles National Monument in California, taken with a Samsung TL500. When I go hiking, the K20 is just too heavy to bring along.

I have tried re-linking the photo again. I can see it even when I am signed out of PF and/or signed out of flickr.

Joe, I can see the photo now, when I'm signed off the Forum and when I'm on. Originally the place where your photo should have been said "Photo currently unavalable" with the Flickr logo and name. I only mention it in case this helps narrow down the cause. Whatever it was, it's fixed now.

Good to see more entries coming in. There's still time! And welcome to the forum, Crazyinmaine!

Just happened to be at Niagara Falls last week, one of the many shots I got that I love.
