P52-3-46 -Landscape Portrait -Winners

Thanks to all who entered. The entries though few were some very nice photos, with different interpretations.

Jmshrei : Nice shot of the river bend. I felt that it lacked in that there is no real point of highlight. An interesting animal, bird, fisherman, rock etc would have given it a lift. Not always possible of course.

WWIFA : again well taken shot, but overall a little bland. We have no control over these things but some good cloud formation or similar would have given it a lift. The rail cars tend to blend in just a bit too much, I nearly missed them. Nicely done, nevertheless, Bruce.

Noelcmn : Personally, I preferred your #3. But as to the entry shot, a bit of noise there, and I am wondering if the horizon is level. A great shot in the making , with a little PP.

RUNNER UP :
Crazyinmaine : Lovely colour and a good use of the reflection. Nicely composed.

**THE WINNER IS......

Tamia

I liked this despite the electric cables, the bane of photographers. I liked the B&W conversion, the way the lines lead into a central point, the tower and how all the elements combine to make the subject title relevant, Hydroelectricity.

Trust you all can see my reason for preference. Congratulations Tamia.

Congratulations Tamia- a worhty winner. Thanks too Bruce for judging. I did in fact correct the level of the horizon on the original-but had already posted it onto the thread before I realised it. Now for some water portraits.
