Weekly Challenge #170 "Logo"
Posted By: ramseybuckeye, 06-18-2011, 01:08 PM

Since I was late starting #169 we will have two weekly challenges running concurrently for a few days. If the winner of this challenge wishes to start another we can have two running concurrently onward if that is OK with the moderators.

The theme of this challenge is logo. Most businesses, teams, events, etc have a logo. Logos need to figure prominently in the photo, they can be the subject, or a part that helps identify the rest of the photo.

This challenge will end 6/26 at midnight your time.

The fine print....
1. Post ONE photo (max 1024x1024).
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme.
3. Post your single picture in this thread, and explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly theme (especially if it's not obvious).
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and choose 1 of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. This challenge runs for 7 days and will end on
7. Any Pentax camera will do or a Samsung DSLR.
8. Pictures can be from any time frame, not just within the week of the current theme.
9. In case the winner of a challenge is unable to become the judge for the next challenge, they will PM the #2 winner for that person to be the judge.

Just to get started as inspiration, you know you can do better than this one:

BMW

I chose this image because it has many logos. My real interest when I spotted this bike was "minolta" so I had to take it. Using my $1.00 Pentax 105WR; Fuji Xtra 400-print scan.

Fullers

Got tired of waiting for the guy in the high viz vest to move out of the way so it's a little less than a full pint of Fuller's London Pride

This is a partial logo from an old Massey Ferguson tractor. I was drawn by the simplicity and color.

Very nice. Pint glasses too. Classy joint

I have fond memories of ESB with the brain cells it didn't destroy

Richard.

Clock of Ages

A very old antique belong to Grandparents. Pity the position of hand, covering logo, but would have to take apart to move it.

I had some difficulties in deciding which photo I should post.
Finally I prefer this one, the reflection adds something here:

O2 mirrored

The other choice would have been this logo of a long gone italian motorcycle brand.
