Weekly Challenge 177 - Tropical Paradise
The theme is "Tropical Paradise" -- Work has been kicking my butt lately and I need a break, even if it is by living vicariously through your pictures.
I would like to see pictures of those places where many of us would like to spend our holidays with islands, beaches, waterfalls in rain forests, turquoise water... oops, sorry, where was I?
Oh yeah the challenge! Ok everyone dust off those vacation shots or if you are lucky enough to live in paradise go out and take a new picture for us.
Please tell us the pertinent info about your picture (location/ gps coordinates) in case I can ever escape this grind and visit it someday.

By the rules, this runs for a week, so let's say the entries should be posted by Wednesday, August 31 (midnight, your time zone).

The fine print....
1. Post ONE photo (max 1024x1024).
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme.
3. Post your single picture in this thread, and explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly theme (especially if it's not obvious).
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and choose 1 of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. This challenge runs for 7 days plus a day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any Pentax (or Samsung DSLR) camera will do.
8. Pictures can be from any time frame, not just within the week of the current theme.
9. In case the winner of a challenge is unable to become the judge for the next challenge, they will PM the #2 winner for that person to be the judge.

It might not be tropical, but it certainly is paradise. Taken on vacation in Oia, Santorini, Greece this April. It's a dog's life.

Thanks for kicking things off Daacon. Costa Rica is on my list to visit some day.

I would highly recommend it. Costa Rica has such a diverse eco-system. Tropical rain forests, Caribbean like beaches, desert like areas, Mountains and Volcanos, wildlife sanctuaries all on this little country. And the coke is more expensive than the rum
