Welcome to edition 190 of the Pentax Forums' Picture of the Week. Thanks to Free Soul for hosting the previous week and inviting me to host this week.

This edition covers photos from 13 November - 27 November 2011. That lets you show off any shots you took last week but haven't processed until now. In other words, you can post your shots from this week AND last week.

POTW is a great place to show what you've been shooting day-to-day. It gives us all a chance to see what other members are up to with their Pentax (and Samsung) cameras in the parts of the world in which they live or have visited. We can share ideas, learn from one another, and have a good time.

So show us what you've seen in your little corner of the planet! Looking forward to seeing all of what's out there this week. A special welcome to all new members!

Again same rules as always:

1) No theme, just post your favorite pix.

2) Lets keep it to fewer than 6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week.

3) Any Pentax camera or Samsung SLR is fine, whether it's film, P&S, or DSLR.

4) Enter anything you shot last week or during this current week until the thread closes.

5) The current host will appoint the new host as an invitation via Private Message (PM). If possible, the new thread will be linked to the previous one and the new thread will start between Noon EDT and 5PM EDT on Sunday. If the thread doesn't start, please contact Peter Zack, Moderator via PM.

Clou, thanks for hosting. I'm a little late this week, haven't touched the camera nearly enough. Did get out Friday for a walk in the woods.

Davidw0815 - the night is a very good time to take photos - I especially like the third with the reflections.

Warped - Australia has a lot of wonders - I am curious on your next finds

Nomad - Thanks for adding - walking off the beaten path can yield inteeresting results, such as yours.

brvnara - nice night shots - the last one is the one I like the most.

baro-nite - a glass of wine with a good meals is a pleasure - did it make the Buddha laugh?

Stan - The colors are amazing!

GmcarsMAN - the different colors of the windows add an interesting twist to the picture.

lost.echo - the second is my favorite one - B/W, clouds and fog - great setting

ramseybuckeye - The first could make a good start of a series about abandoned structures. The second has a really flashy yellow. For the third - it is often rewarding to look in different directions, just as here.

First photo post here. K10D with Vivitar Series 1 70-210 Handheld

The kids had a dance recital last night, and I was happy to try the K10D with one of my older 70-210 manual lenses. I had it on iso 400 but I am thinking next time I might go up to iso 800 or 1600 so i don't need to be so fuzzy on the focus and also be able to have a bit of a faster shutter to catch some of the action.
