Thanks to everyone for their participation this week.
There were some great shots of mechanical marvels and even one late entry of a biological engine.
Without further ado , here are the two top pictures in my opinion from this week's set:
Runner up: atupdate - Down on the farm
I like the vintage look of this shot, looks like it could have been pulled from a historic archive. The scary, non OSHA compliant setup of the ancient machines is amazing.
And the winner is:
Arjay Bee - Found object
This shot of the expired engine getting pulled back into the earth I found very appealing. The textures and detail of the oxidation of the metal were captured very well.
Arjay, you have the baton now. I look forward to your challenge.
We had some fine submissions from everyone.
Bergwerk - this is a great shot of this project engine - the PP gives it a nice feel.
Bramela - your shot hearkens back to a bygone era of opulence and open air motoring, wonderful photo.
VladM - the detail and color of this chrome powerhouse are captured well, congrats.
Tamia - this is an eerie shot of the forest reclaiming the car. I like the angle, beautiful capture.
Tessfully - great shot of that engine in the mill, surprised it has not disappeared by now. Out here any piece of metal gets taken by the scrappers.
Bjake - nice shot of the one-eyed monster
MikeS - composition and detail are nice on this one.
SpecialK - very cool - the kick start on that oldie looks like it could tear you up!
NaClH2O - pretty shot, reminds me of a Thomas the Tank engine character.
RXrenesis8- great PP on this cutaway - I had to google it and caught some video of a restored one running - awesome!
Voytech - great composition, I like the way the tracks lead one into the shot, nice job.
smf - nice capture - looks like that engine deserves some restoration TLC - hope it gets it someday.
Sunnybrooke - cool shot, very nice to see those old mechanical pieces working as they should - would love to take a ride on that one.
EdwardConde - love the contrast and comp on this evil looking machine - wonder what the owner looks like?
Ramseybuckeye - nice work, the shot is probably engine porn to a certain group!
Bruce - I expected I'd get more bio engines, thats a great shot of a powerhouse.
Thanks again everyone and keep posting your entries in the challenges. This was fun!
